The 22 year old central defender Omar Alderete joins FCB from Argentinian side Club Atlético Huracán for the 2019/2020 season. Alderete signs a four year deal, until the end of June 2023.
The 22 year old central defender Omar Alderete joins FCB from Argentinian side Club Atlético Huracán for the 2019/2020 season. Alderete signs a four year deal, until the end of June 2023.
The 1,88m tall footballer from Paraguay started his professional career at Cerro Porteño in his home country. Alderete moved to Argentina´s top league, playing for Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata then for Club Atlético Huracán.
Alderete commented on his move to FC Basel 1893: “ I am happy and proud that I was able to make this important step in my career. I want to contribute, so that we can win more titles with FCB and so that we can be represented in European competition again.”
Omar Alderete will join his teammates mid-June when pre-season training kicks off.
